What went wrong for Michigan State football on Saturday afternoon in a loss to the BYU Cougars at home?

Not much went the way of Michigan State football on Saturday when the 2-3 BYU Cougars came to town. The Spartans suffered their third loss of the year and all have come in the last three weeks.

Changes need to be made in certain areas on both sides of the ball, and you can bet that Mark Dantonio is going to do what he deems necessary to bring this team back from the dead in 2016.

There’s still plenty of work to be done if the Spartans want to be considered a bowl-worthy team. Still four wins stand between Michigan State and bowl eligibility, if it can clean up its act this week, anything is possible.

Northwestern comes to town with some issues of its own, so don’t be surprised if Michigan State wakes up and realizes its potential.
