Michigan RB says coach Hoke fell asleep during recruiting visit

Michigan fans are pretty happy with the state of their program under first-year head coach and UM alumnus Jim Harbaugh. The Wolverines are 7-2 and ranked 17th in the nation.

Harbaugh, of course, took over for Brady Hoke, who was much-maligned by the end of his tenure in Ann Arbor. Hoke's detractors will probably enjoy this story shared by Michigan running back De'Veon Smith, who told reporters on Monday that Hoke fell asleep on an in-home recruiting visit.

On his SiriusXM radio show Tuesday, Hoke reportedly denied falling asleep.

"No, never happened," he said, according to the Detroit Free Press. "I went to his house. Greg Mattison and I went to his house. ... No, I absolutely didn't. I have never fallen asleep. You're so excited to get in there and recruit and talk to (them). Maybe De'Veon fell asleep. He's a great kid."
