Miami to honor Jose Fernandez with helmet decal
The Miami Hurricanes football team will honor former Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez with a helmet decal in Saturday's game against Georgia Tech, the team announced.
Miami will wear a black decal with Fernandez's initials and No. 16 on the back of the helmet.

Fernandez died in the early hours of Sunday morning when his boat crashed into a jetty off of South Beach that killed him and his two friends. Investigators are looking into his death and performed an autopsy and toxicology. The results of those tests have not been revealed.

Fernandez was laid to rest after a private funeral on Thursday afternoon.
Miami's football team is 3–0 on the season.
