Miami starting RT Odogwu to miss Sun Bowl

Miami will be without starting right tackle Sunny Odogwu when the Hurricanes take on Washington State in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 26.

Odogwu, a 6-8, 318-pound sophomore, underwent knee surgery this week and will not be back in time for the Hurricanes’ finale.

Odogwu started nine games for Miami this year and will be replaced by sophomore starting left guard Kc McDermott, while junior Alex Gall will slide into the vacant left guard spot.
