Miami cornerback Thomas Finnie is facing a grand theft charge and has been suspended indefinitely from the football program.

Coral Gables police say Finnie was involved in the theft of a laptop computer from a dorm room on campus. He was arrested Tuesday and faces charges of occupied burglary and grand theft.

Police say Finnie surrendered to campus police and was taken to jail in Miami.

Finnie has appeared in 23 games over his first two seasons with the Hurricanes.
