The Miami Hurricanes travel to Georgia Tech for their ACC Opener and Mark Richt’s public return to Georgia. Here is everything you need to know about watching Miami and Georgia Tech.

This will be the 22nd meeting between Miami and Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets lead the series 11-10. Miami has won six of the last seven. The one game they lost was the last meeting in Atlanta in 2014.

After a 3-0 start and moving from one spot out of the top 25in the pre-season rankings to number 14, Miami starts their conference season on the road at Georgia Tech. This begins a tough stretch of games. After this week, Miami will play Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame to close out October.

The ‘Canes have moved up the polls using and dominant defense and efficient offense. The ‘Canes are first in the nation in scoring defense and rank in the top five in multiple categories defensively.

Running back Mark Walton has gotten off to a blazing start.He is fifth in the nation in rushing yards per game and a candidate for the Heisman Trophy. The combination of Walton and Quarterback Brad Kaaya makes Miami’s offense hard to defend.
