Maryland vs. Purdue: Live Game Thread
After a relatively easy nonconference schedule, Maryland begins Big Ten play against Purdue on Saturday afternoon.
The Terrapins open conference play at home with a strong crowd expected for Homecoming Weekend.
Maryland was gotten off to a 3-0 start after wins over Central Florida, Florida International, and Howard. The Terps are coming off a 30-24 double overtime win over the Knights on Sept. 17.
Hills hurt his shoulder on his first carry of the second overtime period. He ended up having to come out of the game and backup Tyrrell Pigrome rushed for the game-winning 24-yard touchdown on his first play.
Maryland enters Saturday’s game relatively healthy aside from safety Denzel Conyers. Conyers tore his ACL against Central Florida and will miss the remainder of the season.
The Terps will look to start 4-0 for the first time since the 2013 season.
Maryland only won one Big Ten game a season ago. It came in the regular season finale when the Terps beat Rutgers 46-41 in a comeback effort.
