Mark Richt recalls 2014's disastrous Florida game

For the second season in a row, the Bulldogs hopes and dreams will be tied to the showdown against Florida, this time in a winner takes all game. What if anything can Mark Richt and the Bulldogs take from last season's embarrassing 38-20 loss suffered at the hands of the Gators?
“We’re playing Florida and we’ll certainly be looking at some of that tape from a year ago," Richt said. "I don’t think we’ll remind them. You guys do a pretty good job of that and the fans do. Not that it’s bad. It’s just reporting the news. Just didn’t do a good job last year at all.”
The key to the game last season was Florida's rushing attack, which piled up 418 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 60 carries.
“Giving up that much yardage on the ground is not pleasant for any defense," Richt said. "We’ll be working hard to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Georgia is only giving up 120 rushing yards in defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt's second season in Athens. With a more experienced defense heading to Jacksonville fueled by the memories of last season's failures fresh on their mind, how will the defense respond?
Richt appears to like his unit's chances.
“They’re a year older and a year stronger and all that kind of thing -- a year more experienced," Richt said. "But there was a lot of things that didn’t go right that day.”
For Richt's sake, the Bulldogs had better not surrender another 400-yard day on the ground, or the chants for his job will become louder than ever.
