Marist holds off Stetson rally for 45-38 win

DELAND, Fla. (AP) Mike White threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns, including a 76-yarder to Christian Keenan with 39 seconds left, to lift Marist to a 45-38 win over Stetson on Saturday.

White also had 102 yards rushing and a 1-yard TD run as Marist (5-4, 5-1 Pioneer League) held off a second-half Stetson rally. Anthony Olivencia and Joe Jordan also had touchdown catches for the Red Foxes, Marcellus Calhoun had a 24-yard TD run and Michael Marston returned an interception 16 yards for a score.

Mike Maccarone had a 30-yard field goal and Lawrence Dickens finished with 11 catches for 139 yards for Marist.

Stetson (4-5, 2-4) fell behind 24-0 in the first half before rallying. The Hatters tied the game 38-38 on a 28-yard field goal by Grant Amick with 57 seconds left.

Nick Andreas threw four touchdowns and finished 24 of 42 for 339 yards passing for the Hatters.
