Maine manhandles Delaware 62-28

Marcus Wasilewski threw three touchdown passes and Maine scored early and often, racking up more than 600 yards of total offense in a 62-28 mauling of Delaware on Saturday.

The Black Bears (5-1, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) led early and finished strong, with its defense sacking Delaware QB Trent Hurley four times and holding him to 120 yards passing.

Wasilewski threw TD strikes to Damarr Aultman, Nigel Jones, Isaiah Jones and was 18 of 27 for 265. Nigel Jones had scoring runs of 7 of 12 yards and Maine ball carriers amassed a total of 337 yards rushing.

Maine's defense scored when Sherrod Baltimore recovered a fumbled kickoff return and ran it 20 yards to the end zone and on Michael Mangiarelli's interception of a Hurley pass.

Hurley threw a 22-yard TD pass to Michael Johnson and ran 4 yards for another score for Delaware (4-2, 1-1).
