Pushaun Brown rushed for a career-high 193 yards and three touchdowns, including two in a 17-point fourth quarter, as Maine rallied to defeat Delaware 31-17 Saturday.
The Black Bears (3-1, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 17-14 with 3:40 to go in the third quarter after a 13-yard run by Andrew Pierce, who had 120 yards on 24 carries for the Blue Hens (3-2, 1-1).
Brown, who posted the only points of the first quarter on a 26-yard scoring run, added touchdowns of 18 yards just 6 seconds into the fourth quarter and 5 yards with 8:01 to go. Two plays earlier, Brown had run for 70 yards to set up the score. He finished with 110 yards on 14 carries in the fourth quarter.
Brown rushed for more than 100 yards in his sixth straight game against an FCS school.
Maine's Warren Smith was 18 of 27 for 264 yards.
