Mahomes is in elite statistical company after impressive 2015 season

Kliff Kingsbury's offense is a quarterback's dream, and Patrick Mahomes was the latest beneficiary.

The Red Raider QB topped 5,000 yards of total offense in 2015, and he's just the 12th player from a major college football program to do so. Texas Tech may have lost its bowl game to LSU on Tuesday night, but it wasn't due to a lack of effort or execution from Mahomes.

Mahomes is the third Texas Tech Red Raider to top 5,000 yards of total offense. B.J. Symons did it back in 2003, while Graham Harrell did it twice for the red and black.
