LSU D-lineman Maquedius Bain claims he is no longer on the team

Published Aug. 3, 2015 2:38 p.m. ET

Maquedius Bain, one of the three LSU football players arrested in June, tweeted out Monday he is no longer a member of the football team:

Bain was arrested June 18 with quarterback Anthony Jennings and defensive back Dwayne Thomas for unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling. The charges have since been dropped and all three players were re-instated to the football team last week

Bain, listed as a sophomore heading into the 2015 season, played in 10 games for the Tigers last season after being suspended for the opener against Wisconsin. The lineman accumulated only six tackles in his first, and apparently only, season on the field for LSU after joining the football team as a four-star 247Sports Composite recruit in 2013.
