Kupp, Eastern Washington get by Northern Colorado 43-41

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) Jordan Dascalo kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired, Cooper Kupp set school records with 20 catches for 275 yards and Eastern Washington edged Northern Colorado 43-41 on Saturday.

Northern Colorado's successful onside kick attempt aided Michael McCauley's two touchdown catches in a 49-second span to give Northern Colorado a 41-40 lead with 1:23 remaining. Jordan West drove the Eagles 49 yards in nine plays, and Dascalo's field goal gave the Eagles their 31st victory in their last 34 Big Sky Conference games.

Kupp caught three touchdown passes for Eastern Washington (5-2, 4-0) to move into a tie with Elon's Terrell Hudgins for second place all-time for touchdown catches in FCS history, surpassing Jerry Rice's mark of 50. He broke conference records for receptions (281) and receiving yards (4,338).

McCauley caught four balls for 111 yards and three TDs for Northern Colorado (4-3, 2-3).
