Kansas State vs Oklahoma live stream: Watch Wildcats vs Sooners online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s Kansas State vs Oklahoma game from Norman online.
Beginning the season with a loss wasn’t exactly what Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners had in mind after a College Football Playoff appearance last year. The team was bringing back plenty of talent, but Sterling Shepard, Baker Mayfield’s top target, graduated.
Still, Mayfield has been solid this season. The junior quarterback has passed for 1,457 yards and 12 touchdowns with a 68 percent completion rate, making up for Oklahoma’s lackluster defense. He has formed a new favorite connection with Dede Westbrook who has caught 34 passes for 544 yards and five touchdowns.
Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon have been a dynamic duo in the backfield, accounting for 849 yards and eight rushing touchdowns this season. Those two have helped Mayfield out more than people may think.
On the other side of the field, the Kansas State Wildcats are coming off their best offensive performance of the season with a 44-38 win over Texas Tech. That victory improved the Wildcats’ record to 3-2 on the season with momentum going in the right direction.
Jesse Ertz has struggled at quarterback this season for the Wildcats, completing just 48 percent of his throws for 688 yards and five touchdowns — quite the opposite of Mayfield. Moreover, he has just three receivers who have accounted for over 100 yards.
The run game has been slightly better, accounting for just under 200 yards per game on the ground. Ertz is second on the team with 253 yards and three scores while Charles Jones leads the way with 287 yards and two touchdowns.
