Jerry Sandusky's appeals hearing on sex conviction continues
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) The second day of Jerry Sandusky's appeal hearing is getting underway in Pennsylvania.
Among the topics that could be discussed Monday is how prosecutors and the former Penn State assistant coach's defense team handled allegations of abuse by a person labeled in court papers as Victim 2, who didn't testify during the 2012 trial.
Sandusky took the stand on the first day of the appeal hearing. He insists he's innocent and is seeking to have his 45-count conviction thrown out or to get a new trial.
Lawyers for a man who settled an abuse claim with Penn State have said he's Victim 2, who former assistant coach Mike McQueary testified he saw being abused by Sandusky in a team shower in 2001.
Sandusky is serving a 30- to 60-year sentence.
