Georgia TE Lynch not impressed with APU protest

Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch is all for improving the rights of college athletes.

He doesn't think writing the letters ''APU'' on a wristband will lead to significant change.

Several Georgia linemen took part in a low-key protest last weekend known as All Players United, joining several athletes from Georgia Tech and Northwestern in a gesture that most players and coaches didn't even know happened until after their games.

Lynch said Tuesday that change ''is not going to come from disorganized hashtags on your wrist. That's not how it's done.''

Georgia coach Mark Richt says the group that organized the protest, the National College Players Association, seems to have ''pretty legitimate concerns.'' The advocacy organization is pushing for better health care for athletes and more scholarship money, among other things.
