Georgia giving the majority of QB reps to these two players

The ill-fated Faton Bauta experiment is apparently over for Georgia, as Bauta appears to have once again fallen to third-string in the Bulldogs quarterback competition. In fact, Bauta was even spotted playing some at the safety position in practice Wednesday.

During the SEC coaches teleconference, Mark Richt revealed the competition this week will likely come down to incumbent starter Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey. Ramsey acted as Georgia's punter against Florida.

“We really have repped mostly Greyson and Brice with the one unit,” Richt said. “Faton has gotten some work as well. We’re not counting that out. But those two have gotten the most work to this point with the number one unit.”

Richt admitted that no matter which quarterback plays, both of their skillsets are so similar, the offense would be very much the same regardless of the quarterback in the game.

“More than likely and really if you’re talking between Brice and Greyson, I don’t think there’s a big difference,” Richt said. “Quite frankly, even with Faton there wasn’t going to be a huge game plan shift or anything.”

The Dawgs played both quarterbacks leading up to the South Carolina game this season. Could the same approach work once again for an offense struggling to find its feet heading into November?
