FSU's bid to battle Auburn in '19 season opener falls through

Florida State's bid to open the 2019 season with a high profile matchup against Auburn in Jacksonville has fell through, according to a report by Tomahawk Nation.

The Seminoles have scheduled heavyweight season openers over the course of the next few years. In 2016, FSU will kick off the season against Ole Miss, in 2017 it will take on Alabama in the opener and in 2018 the Seminoles will begin the season against Notre Dame.

Tomahawk Nation reports that Florida State is seeking another high profile team for the 2019 season opener.
