FSU football wide receiver Travis Rudolph went viral yesterday when he had lunch with an autistic young man while visiting a middle school in Tallahassee.
Rudolph saw a young kid sitting by himself during lunch and asked if he could sit down. There’s nothing strange about that, but it’s the mother’s response to finding out about the encounter that will make your heart melt.
She wrote on her Facebook page:
I have young kids not much younger than Bo Paske, and his mother is right when talking about how tough middle school can be for some kids.
It’s a beautiful reminder of just how much of an impact a small gesture can have on someone’s life. Rudolph spoke about the encounter in the video below:
Rudolph had no idea the young boy was autistic, but the gesture tells you what kind of young man he is.
He even invited the boy and his mother to a FSU game, and told the mother that the young man could have his phone number if he wanted to communicate with him in another interview.
Hopefully, Bo and his mother will be able to goto a FSU Football game and help brighten his day even more.
Travis Rudolph is the leading returning wide receiver for this FSU football offense, and is expected to be a major contributor in 2016.
Coach Jimbo Fisher has heaped tons of praise for Rudolph’s work ethic this off-season, and that extra work will come to fruition on Monday night in their opener against Ole Miss.
