On the heels of the demotion of defensive coordinator Don Pellum, the Ducks have lost one of their most prized 2016 recruits.
Jared Mayden, a four-star CB from Sachse, Texas, announced on Wednesday that he would be decommitting from Oregon.
"I have spoken with (John) Neal and have made the decision to decommit from Oregon," Mayden said, per Scout.com.

When asked why he thought it was in his best interest to decommit from the Ducks at this point, the nation's fifth-rated CB said that the staff's stability issues concerned him.
"Really it just came down to stability issues with the staff since I made my commitment," said Mayden. "Things have changed."
Mayden now plans to visit Florida State, LSU, Alabama and possibly Oklahoma.
