Former Florida safety Keanu Neal offers appreciation for coaches
Former Florida hard-hitting safety Keanu Neal had a fantastic three-year career in Gainesville.
A two-year starter, Neal finished third this year on the team in tackles (96). His ability to fill lanes in run support is very impressive -- as is his versatility on the back-end in coverage. Due to these characteristics, Neal opted to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.
Neal took to his personal Instagram account to thank a myriad of people for his time in college. Aside from announcing his intention to turn pro, he also posted a picture of himself and his teammates running out onto Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Neal also posted a split-screen picture featuring himself with current head coach Jim McElwain...and former Florida head coach Will Muschamp. Muschamp was the coach Neal signed with out of high school.
Although the Muschamp era isn't generally looked upon in the most positive of light by the Florida fan base, Neal appears to be appreciative of his efforts.
