Former CSU QB rejoins Rams in new role

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Former Colorado State University quarterback Anthoney Hill is returning to his alma mater as director of player development and community/alumni relations.

The appointment was announced Thursday by head coach Mike Bobo.

Hill, 43, previously served as an assistant football coach at CSU from 2008-11, and was a student assistant for the Rams in 1998. He spent last season as passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at McPherson College in Kansas.

Hill was the Rams' quarterback from 1992-94. In his last season, the Rams went 10-2 and earned a berth in the Holiday Bowl and a No. 16 ranking in the final Associated Press poll.

He played for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League in 1995 before getting into coaching.
