Fordham turns back Bucknell 24-16

NEW YORK (AP) Kevin Anderson threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns and George Dawson intercepted a pass on a 2-point conversion attempt with 1:44 to play and Fordham defeated Bucknell 24-16 on Saturday.

The Bison pulled within 17-16 by going 67 yards in seven plays, capped by R.J. Nitti's 5-yard pass to Bobby Kaslander but Dawson picked off Nitti on the 2-point attempt.

The Rams (8-2, 4-1 Patriot League) recovered the onside kick and Chase Edmonds added 22-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-2 with six seconds to play.

Anderson completed 20 of 27 passes, connecting with Jonathan Lumley for a 6-yard score in the first quarter and Phazahn Odom for 5 in the third. He was picked off twice.

Matt DelMauro rushed 29 times for a career-high 168 yards and a first-quarter touchdown for the Bison (4-5, 1-3). Nitti was 19 of 31 for 222 yards.
