Fordham tops Lehigh 52-34 in battle of unbeatens

Michael Nebrich threw for 384 yards and four touchdowns as Fordham remained undefeated with 52-34 win over Lehigh on Saturday in the Patriot League opener for both teams.

Sam Ajala hauled in three of Nebrich's touchdown passes, the first being a 25-yarder on Fordham's opening possession. Nebrich and Ajala then connected for a 40-yard score just before halftime and a 62-yarder in the third quarter. Ajala finished with 166 yards receiving as Fordham (6-0, 1-0 Patriot) handed Lehigh its second loss in its past 25 regular season games.

Lehigh (4-1, 0-1) trailed 31-28 late in the third, but Fordham put the game out of reach with three consecutive touchdown drives.

Brandon Bialkowski threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns for Lehigh. Bialkowski has now thrown for more than 300 yards in each of Lehigh's five games this season.
