Arizona quarterback Nick Foles is closer to returning from his knee injury, though coach Mike Stoops isn't ready to declare him the starter for this week's showdown against No. 10 Stanford.
Foles missed the 13th-ranked Wildcats' past two games due to a sprained right knee, though he was healthy enough to start warming up after backup Matt Scott injured his hand in Saturday's 29-21 win over UCLA.
Stoops said Foles' availability against Stanford will depend on whether he's healthy enough to practice this week.
Scott had another solid outing in place of Foles, throwing for a career-high 319 yards with one touchdown and interception. He also rushed for another 71 yards on 12 carries.
