Florida garners commitment from elite defensive end prospect

Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators received some fantastic news Wednesday morning, as 2016 prospect Antonneous Clayton committed to the program.Â
The 6'4" defensive end out of Georgia pledged his services to Florida over a host of schools, including Alabama, LSU, Oregon, UCLA, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame. A Rivals.com 4-star prospect, he's considered the top-ranked weakside defensive end prospect in the entire country.Â
At only 218 pounds, Clayton will have to bulk up and get considerably stronger in order to deal with the physicality present in the SEC. With that said, Clayton's quickness and speed off the edge makes him a special prospect.
Along with current freshman CeCe Jeferson, Florida looks to have a bright future along its defensive line.Â
