Florida DB Vernon Hargreaves III will enter 2016 NFL Draft
Via his Instagram page, Florida junior cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III has announced he will bypass his senior season, opting to enter the 2016 NFL Draft.
The decision by the Gators' talented defensive back isn't a complete shock. Throughout the course of his career, Hargreaves has proven to be one of the best at his position.
He accrued 10 interceptions and 121 tackles during his three years in Gainesville. Hargreaves also garnered all-conference honors for three straight seasons -- including a first-team All-SEC spot in 2015.
With Hargreaves set to leave for the professional ranks, the onus will now fall on Jalen Tabor to lead the Florida secondary in 2016. The Washington D.C. native also earned all-conference honors this season and looks primed to become one of the more dominant corners in the SEC.
