Five LSU players named as All-SEC selections

Published Dec. 8, 2015 5:02 p.m. ET

On Tuesday, a throng of LSU Tigers were named as first and second team All-SEC selections.

Running back Leonard Fournette and offensive lineman Vadal Alexander were tabbed as first-team selections -- while offensive lineman Ethan Pocic, defensive back Jamal Adams, and defensive back Tre'Davious White received second-team honors.

Without question, Fournette was the focal point of LSU's offense this season. With one game remaining, he's rushed for a school-record 1,741 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Considering his overly impressive season, it isn't a complete shock to see both Alexander and Pocic garner postseason accolades for their efforts up front. LSU also led the conference in rushing yards per game.

Adams and White led a deep and talented LSU secondary. Adams was third on the team in tackles, and White led the team in pass-breakups.
