FARGO, N.D. (AP) Miles Bergner kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to lift South Dakota to a 24-21 win over North Dakota State on Saturday.

South Dakota (3-3, 1-2 Missouri Valley) trailed most of the game but tied it at 21 late in the fourth quarter when Drew Potter hauled in an 8-yard touchdown throw from Ryan Saeger. The Coyotes then forced a North Dakota State (4-2, 2-1) three-and-out, and got the ball back at their own 29 with 3:20 left and marched 55 yards in eight plays to set up Bergner's game-winning kick.

Saeger also threw a TD pass to Brandt Van Roekel and scored on a 1-yard run.

Carson Wentz threw two touchdown passes for North Dakota State, which hadn't lost two games in a season since 2010, and Bruce Anderson punched in a TD from the 2.
