Towles will be entering BC as a graduate student, making him immediately eligible to play and compete for the starting spot for the 2016 season.

The veteran quarterback was substituted by freshman QB Drew Barker toward the end of the 2015 season. Towles announced his decision to transfer from Kentucky last month.

BC will have four quarterbacks returning in 2016 in addition to Towles: Freshmen John Fadule, Troy Flutie and Jeff Smith, and sophomore Darius Wade.

Wade was the Eagles' starting quarterback for the beginning of the 2015 season before injuring his ankle against Florida State.
