(STATS) - Eastern Washington senior wide receiver Cooper Kupp set the FCS career record for receiving yards during the No. 4 Eagles' game against UC Davis on Saturday.
Kupp caught a 9-yard pass from Gage Gubrud in the second quarter to pass Elon's Terrell Hudgins, who had 5,250 receiving yards from 2006-09.
Kupp, the 2015 STATS FCS Offensive Player of the Year, entered the Big Sky Conference game as the FCS record-holder in career touchdown receptions, and he added his 62nd in the first quarter. His 340 career receptions entering the game were 55 behind Hudgins' all-time mark.
