Elite '16 LB Wilson drops Florida 'over miscommunication'

Elite 2016 linebacker Lyndell "Mack" Wilson had narrowed his focus to Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. After taking official visits to Tuscaloosa and Athens, Wilson was slated to see Gainesville on the final weekend before signing day.
Unfortunately for the Gators, this visit will no longer take place.
Wilson -- a native of Montgomery, Ala. -- deleted a tweet in which he essentially blamed the Florida coaching staff for a miscommunication with his mother. Wilson admitted Florida being his top school -- although he did say Jim McElwain and his staff never reached out to his mother.

It's a curious change of events, and a crushing blow to Florida. Wilson has the ability to play both inside and outside, and is talented enough to come in right away and make an impact.
As such, the battle for Wilson will take place between Nick Saban's Crimson Tide and Kirby Smart's Bulldogs.
