Matt Denham ran for two touchdowns and 142 yards as Eastern Kentucky took advantage of six Southeast Missouri turnovers to beat the Redhawks 41-17 on Saturday.

The Colonels (3-3, 2-1 Ohio Valley Conference) finished with 244 yards rushing while getting plenty of help from the defense.

Ahead 10-0, Eastern Kentucky recovered the first of two straight Redhawks' fumbles on kickoffs, driving 33 yards on nine plays for a 1-yard H.B. Banjoman touchdown. On the ensuing kickoff, the Redhawks (1-5, 1-3) fumbled again and this time the Colonels settled for a 24-yard field goal by Luke Pray to go up 20-0 and pull away.

Matt Scheible had 174 yards on 11 of 22 passing and 75 yards on 16 carries to become the Redhawks career leader in total offense with 6,155 yards. He also became the first quarterback in OVC history to get 2,000 yards rushing and 4,000 yards passing.
