Ducks call Cal's offense a 'two-headed monster'
The Bears will bring one of the best offense in the country to Eugene on Saturday. As the Ducks prepare to take down QB Jared Goff, the coaches are also extremely worried about the Bears' rushing attack.
"They got themselves a two-headed monster," said secondary coach John Neal of Cal's offense, per The Oregonian.
The Ducks have seen a similar air-raid type offense this year from Washington State; however, the Oregon coached have noted that the biggest difference between the two teams in Cal's ability to run the ball.
"The playbooks are similar. The philosophies are similar," said defensive coordinator Don Pellum. "Cal does a better job of emphasizing the run. They have more plays dedicated to the run."
"WSU does a nice job of running the ball, but there's a bigger playbook at Cal with runs," Pellum said. "I think that's the biggest difference. A lot of the routes are similar, philosophies are similar, it's very similar from that standpoint."
The Ducks and Bears will kick-off at 7:30 PM on Saturday night in Eugene.
