Derrick Henry discusses growing up idolizing Tim Tebow

Alabama's offensive star is beginning to make a name for himself in college football lore and with one more big performance against Florida in the SEC Championship, is likely to become only the second Crimson Tide player to capture the Heisman Trophy.

One interesting note regarding Henry leading up the big game against the Gators, he was a fan of only one of these teams growing up.

"I grew up a Gator fan," Henry told AL.com. "I loved the Gators. I'm from Florida. I always watched them," Henry said. "I really loved when (Tim) Tebow was there. I'm a big fan of Tebow. It was a very exciting time to be a Florida fan."

Can you guess who was Florida's quarterback the last time the team advanced to the league's championship game? You guessed it, Tebow.

If Henry does capture the Heisman Trophy at the end of the season, he will have won the award as many times as his former idol. So would the Bama running back consider himself in the former Gators' class at that point?

"Oh no, no no," Henry said. "I still have a lot of stuff to work on."
