Derrick Henry busts out 50-yard TD run to score first points of title game
Leave it to the reigning Heisman Trophy winner to score the first points of the College Football Playoff national championship game between No. 2 Alabama and No. 1 Clemson on Monday night. After both teams stalled on their opening possessions, the Crimson Tide got on the scoreboard in a hurry.
Running back Derrick Henry got off to a great start, rumbling for a 50-yard touchdown run on Alabama's second possession of the game.

Thanks to Henry's big run, the Tigers have already given up more yards to the Tide than they gave up during the entire Orange Bowl against Oklahoma and running backs Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon.
Henry finished the night with 158 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries in the 45-40 win over Clemson.
