The EagleBank Bowl has been granted a four-year license by the NCAA, and this year's game will be Dec. 29, with the eighth selection from the Atlantic Coast Conference facing a team from Conference USA.

The Washington Convention and Sports Authority also announced Thursday that the 2010 game will be televised live on ESPN.

The bowl, played at RFK Stadium, is entering its third year.

Organizers aim to include a service academy on a regular rotation, with a school from the ACC slated to face Navy in 2011, Army in 2012, and a Big 12 opponent in 2013.

Army would have participated in the 2009 EagleBank Bowl, but it was not eligible to play in any bowl game because it did not have six victories.
