Dayton edges Morehead State 20-15

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Jack Adams ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown to give Dayton the edge over Morehead State 20-15 on Saturday.

Adams' winning score came with 7:09 to play, capping an 83-yard drive. He finished with 82 yards rushing on 15 carries for the undefeated Flyers (9-0, 6-0 Pioneer League). Alex Jeske threw for 186 yards and a touchdown.

Jeske hit Alex Kenner from four yards for a touchdown with a minute to go before the break and the Flyers trailed 15-14 at halftime.

That score held until the fourth quarter when Jeske took the Flyers 83 yards in 15 plays, finally handing it to Adams for the 2-yard score.

Morehead State took a 15-7 first-quarter lead with the help of an Austin Gahafer scoring pass and a 32-yard touchdown run by Brent Holman

Gahafer had 323 yards passing for the Eagles (5-4, 4-2) but threw three interceptions in the second half.
