Darren Carrington didn't know when he would score his next touchdown. When it finally came on Saturday in Seattle, the sophomore wide receiver got a bit emotional.

“I almost shed a tear, but it was just all smiles,” Carrington said after Oregon's 26-20 win. “You never know how fast it could be gone, so it was just good to be back out there.”

Carrington provided a huge boost to Oregon's offense, catching five passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

The lanky wide receiver made a name for himself towards the end of the 2014 season with breakout performances in the Pac-12 title game and the 2015 Rose Bowl. Then, Carrington was hit with a half-season suspension by the NCAA for failing a drug test before the 2015 College Football Playofff title game.

In Carrington's last three games, including Saturday's victory, he has caught 19 passes for 416 yards and five touchdowns. As he gets back into the rhythm of playing major college football again, Carrington is thankful and is ready to shine once again.

“I always appreciated college football. It’s good to be out there,” he said, according to The Register-Guard. “Under the lights and in front of all the TVs and fans watching, it was good to be back. Whenever I came back, I just wanted to make an impact.”
