FARGO, N.D. (AP) John Crockett rushed for a career-high 227 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown to help North Dakota State hold off Coastal Carolina 39-32 Saturday in the Football Championship Subdivision quarterfinals.

The three-time defending champion Bison (13-1) will play at home again next Saturday against Sam Houston State or Villanova.

Crockett scored the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter on a 45-yard scamper on third down. That made it 39-32 and wiped out Coastal Carolina's only lead.

The Chanticleers had gone ahead 32-31 when De'Angelo Henderson scored on a 2-yard run to open the fourth quarter.

Coastal Carolina got the ball back with 1:37 left after Adam Keller missed a field goal, but Alex Ross' fourth-down pass was intercepted by Colten Heagle near midfield.

NDSU and Coastal Carolina (12-2) combined for nearly 900 yards of total offense, including 500 by the Bison.
