Colorado and Michigan once produced one of the greatest college football endings ever

While all the focus this weekend in college football is on Alabama-Ole Miss, Florida State-Louisville and Ohio State-Oklahoma, one game that is getting a bit lost under the radar is Colorado's visit to Michigan.

Fans can only hope it's half as exciting as the last time these two teams met at the "Big House" back in 1994.

The game resulted in the "Miracle at Michigan," which remains not only one of the craziest finishes in Michigan or Colorado history, but in the history of the sport.

Watch the video above, but for those of you who might need a quick refresher, here's what you need to know:

The two teams entered the game both ranked in the Top 10, and until late it appeared as though the Wolverines were going to pick up the win. Michigan was ahead 26-14 with under three minutes to play. A Buffaloes touchdown cut the lead to 26-21.

Eventually Colorado got the ball back, setting up one final play.

It was called "Rocket," and when the ball was snapped with just six seconds left, quarterback Kordell Stewart rolled to his left and chucked it more than 70 yards downfield, where it was tipped and fell into the hands of receiver Michael Westbrook.

Colorado's players sprinted to the end zone to celebrate, as members of both teams were moved to tears because of the emotion of the play.

As famed announcer Keith Jackson said: "All those involved will never forget it. Either for the joy of it, or for the pain of it."

That's certainly the case 22 years later, as these teams get ready to play again.
