College Football Week 6 Schedule: 3 Under-the-Radar Games

College Football’s Week 6 Schedule looks to be another great selection of games but what games are going under-the-radar?

The college football season rages on here in week 6 with several pivotal high profile match-ups. Texas and Oklahoma battle it out in their annual rivalry game, Tennessee and Texas A&M battle in the Top 10 showdown, Alabama and Arkansas tangle and Miami and Florida State meet up.

These games will take center stage on Saturday but there are other games out there that need to grab your attention. These games may not be high profile now but they could be quite meaningful towards the end of the season outlook and could certainly entertain you while watching this weekend.

Games just missing the cut were: LSU vs Florida, BYU vs Michigan State, and Washington State vs Stanford.

Now which games aren’t getting the attention they deserve this weekend?

3. (21) Colorado @ USC

Saturday, 4:00, Pac-12 Network

The Colorado Buffaloes are ranked for the first time in what seems like forever. They’ve been a surprise team and a great story all season. At 4-1 they already have wins over Colorado State, at Oregon and against Oregon State. They also battled Michigan tight for about a half.

USC has seemed to turn a bit of a corner since switching to Sam Darnold at quarterback. They look like a different team on offense. They nearly knocked off Utah on the road and then crushed an undefeated Arizona State team 41-20 last week.

Traveling to Los Angeles to play this improving USC team could be a great test to prove just how good Colorado may be. You have the upstart Buffaloes against the struggling Trojans trying to regain establishment in the Pac-12. It should be a great clash and great football game out west.

2. UCLA @ Arizona State

Saturday, 10:30, ESPN2

Another Pac-12 showdown cracks the list. The Bruins are 3-2 overall while Arizona State is 4-1 but coming off of an eye-opening loss to USC. Both squads are very much in the early mix in the Pac-12 South. They stand at 1-1 each, one game behind 2-0 Colorado.

This game is a pivotal early season game for the Pac-12 South. There is a lot more pressure on UCLA as they came into this season as potential playoff favorites. Arizona State surprised some people with a 4-0 start.

For UCLA, Josh Rosen is worth the watch at QB and continues to show that he could play on Sundays, especially after last weeks 350 yard and three touchdown performance. Arizona State has a high powered offense that will look to challenge a solid Bruins defense that has kept teams under 24 points all season long.

Definitely stay up late and check out this important game.

1. (25) Virginia Tech @ (17) North Carolina

Saturday, 3:30, ABC/ESPN2

It is very rare that a top 25 match-up like this isn’t getting the attention it deserves, but it is not. Miami vs Florida State seems to be overshadowing this contest in the ACC.

Both teams are undefeated in conference play and playing well as of late. This figures to be a huge game in the Coastal division and will go a long way in determining who wins it.

UNC is coming off of their huge road win against FSU so a bit of a letdown could be expected. Virginia Tech is coming off of a bye so they should be well rested and game planned for the Heels’ high power offensive attack.

Mitch Tribusky is killing it at QB for UNC right now and Jerod Evans is doing the same for the Hokies. Evans has a 13:1 TD to INT ratio thus far. The QB battle will be fun to watch.

This game should actually be the ACC game of the week but the history of the Miami-FSU rivalry has overtaken it. Make sure to tune in to this showdown, you wont regret it.
