College Football Rumors: Mack Brown admits he's open to coaching again

Under the right circumstances, former Texas head coach Mack Brown says he"d return to college football.

Since retiring from coaching college football at Texas, Mack Brown has found himself a new job as an analyst on ESPN. He coached the sport for 30 years, so the knowledge he brings to the table at ESPN is valuable.

However, is he content with finishing his career as a commentator? Despite making the College Football Hall of Fame ballot for the first time Thursday, Brown said he would still be open to coaching again, in the right situation.

This proves that it's tough to say goodbye to the sport for good. No former coach or retired player has an easy time completely ruling out a comeback and that's exactly what the former Longhorns head coach is experiencing.

According to an interview he did on Sirius XM College Sports radio, Brown believes that he still has some good years left in the tank.

"There is no doubt that if the right situation came up, I would coach again. I have some good years left." @ESPN_CoachMack

In the right situation, Brown's job would be at a program that's still at an elite level with talent littered across the roster. He's 65 years old and ended his Texas career on a sour note so there's reason to believe he's not in the business for rebuilding a program.

Brown did win a national title with Texas in 2005 when Vince Young put together a performance of a lifetime and he's beloved by the Longhorn community. Could they eventually see him coaching elsewhere?

It seems like Brown might be having a case of retirement remorse.
