Coastal Carolina rides Henderson to big win over FAMU 49-10

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) De'Angelo Henderson started a record-setting game by scoring three touchdowns as Coastal Carolina scored 22 first quarter points on its way to a 49-10 win over Florida A&M on Saturday night.

Henderson's first score - a 17-yard run 3:40 into the game - marked his 28th straight game with a touchdown, an NCAA Division I record. Lee Suggs of Virginia Tech previously held the record of 27 straight games with a touchdown from 2000 to 2002.

Henderson's second score almost four minutes later made him Coastal Carolina's (2-0) all-time scoring leader.

Later, Henderson's third quarter touchdown run of eight yards gave him the school record with 47 career rushing touchdowns. He finished with 128 yards on 13 carries. It was Henderson's 20th 100-yard game in 43 career games.

Devin Bowers had a 70-yard touchdown run for Florida A&M (0-2) to make it 29-7 with 8:33 left before halftime.

Bowers had 12 carries for 120 yards.
