Clemson Football, FSU both in latest CFB Playoff projections
USA Today released its latest bowl projections and right now, they have both Clemson football and Florida State in the College Football Playoff.
USA Today released its week one Bowl and College Football Playoff projections on Wednesday.
Clemson football was predicted in the College Football Playoff and, as a matter of fact, they had Florida State as well.
Here is what they had to say about the Tigers and the Seminoles.
“Both Florida State and Clemson would have outstanding arguments if that is how the season plays out [1-loss team],” USA Today said. “They both will have strong résumés with two SEC victories. Unless the four champions separate themselves, the committee is going to have a hard time keeping out both the Seminoles and Tigers if one finishes unbeaten and the other with one loss from their Oct. 29 showdown.”
After Florida State’s victory over Ole Miss, I really believe that this could be a year that both Clemson football and the Seminoles get into the College Football Playoff.
If the Tigers go undefeated and Florida State goes 11-1 with a loss to Clemson, they may have a chance to squeak in after several teams finish 10-2.
USA Today had Clemson against Alabama in the Peach Bowl while Florida State was playing Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.
Keep your eye on what the Seminoles do, especially against Louisville new Saturday. The winner of that game will have the upper hand on the ACC Atlantic and the winner of the division has a great shot at making the College Football Playoff.
