Malcolm Dixon threw four touchdown passes as Charleston Southern won its first Big South Conference game of the season Saturday, 42-39 over Presbyterian.

Dixon, who was just 8 for 11 for 130 yards, had TD throws of 10 yards to Josh Atkinson and 7 yards to Anthony Chalmers in the second quarter.

Wide receiver Gerald Stevenson added a 29-yard scoring pass to Kwame Krakue to give the Buccaneers (3-7, 1-4) a 28-14 lead.

Dixon threw a scoring pass of 37 yards to Kirby Broome just 1:07 into the second half, but Blue Hose quarterback Ryan Singer answered with his first of three touchdowns, a 53-yard pass to Jeremy Cole.

Dixon's last TD pass, 8 yards to Stevenson, made it 42-24 with 6:55 to go in the third quarter, and Presbyterian (1-9, 1-5) fell short despite two fourth-quarter TDs.

Trandon Dendy had 105 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Hose.
