Charles Nelson named Pac-12 special teams player of the week

After his 100-yard kickoff return touchdown last Thursday night against Arizona State, sophomore Charles Nelson has been named the Pac-12 special teams player of the week.

Nelson recorded his 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown late in the third quarter, cutting the Sun Devil lead to 31-27.

He finished the game with four kickoff returns for 185 yards. Nelson also played well on defense and finished with a game-high 15 tackles. Moreover, Nelson contributed heavily on punt and kickoff returns.

Oregon beat Arizona State 61-55 in triple overtime.
