Who knows how football will work out for Apollos Hester?

He’s a wide receiver at East View High School in Georgetown, Texas, listed at 6 feet and 190 pounds with a 4.5 40-yard dash. Maybe he’ll end up playing in the NFL.

But for Apollos, football almost doesn’t matter. His future beyond sports is too bright.

After his high school game last Friday, he gave a postgame interview to a local TV station that was Hall of Fame-worthy and proved that he was born to inspire the world.

If he doesn’t become a football player, I’m comfortable saying president of the United States is a reasonable fallback option.

Watch this interview and try to convince yourself there’s something in this world young Apollos Hester can’t do.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Mississippi State joins the group at No. 14, giving the SEC eight teams in the Top 25. Arkansas is the only SEC West team not ranked. That’s staggering, even if it won’t hold. The coaches poll had MSU a couple spots lower and also allowed Duke and East Carolina to join their party.

2. A few more things on Mississippi State, which had the best win of Week 4 by knocking off No. 8 LSU in Tiger Stadium: In his Week 4 Big Picture column, Bruce Feldman writes that the Bulldogs have emerged as a serious sleeper in the SEC title race.

Shout out to MSU social media guru Kyle Niblett for these two: In its service on Sunday, one church played Hail State on the piano. And when the Bulldogs arrived back in Starkville at 2 a.m. after the game, 500 fans greeted them and went nuts:

3. Florida State got an unexpected boost at halftime on Saturday night against Clemson. Star receiver Rashad Greene, not known to be a vocal leader, stood up at halftime and told the Seminoles they need to wake up – “this is the season right here!” Nice job to Dustin Tackett for uncovering this.

THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

1. Rutgers is off to a 3-1 start, and a large part of that has been running back Paul James, who’d rushed for 363 yards and five touchdowns. On Saturday against Navy, James suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the rest of the season. Brutal.

2. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney mentioned this in passing after Saturday’s night game against Florida State, and he made it official on Sunday: Freshman Deshaun Watson, a five-star recruit, will start at quarterback this week against North Carolina. The future has officially arrived for the Tigers.

3. So Arizona State has a little bit of a situation on Thursday night. The rapper Drake has a concert scheduled for that night in Phoenix, which would naturally appeal to many ASU students. However, the No. 15 Sun Devils are also hosting No. 11 UCLA on Thursday night in a game that could swing the Pac-12 South race. So what should students do?

THREE THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW

1. One of the stranger results from Week 4 was No. 18 Missouri (now unranked) losing at home to Indiana, a team that had lost to Bowling Green the week prior, 31-27. Leading up to the game, the “are we overlooking Mizzou again?” narrative was beginning to take shape and with good reason, as the Tigers’ defensive front didn’t seem to be affected at all from losing ends Michael Sam and Kony Ealy and Maty Mauk is a QB you can win with. But all of that slowed down this weekend, and Bill Connelly, SB Nation’s resident Mizzou Tiger, is here to break down what went wrong.

2. Who ever thought they would just casually run into Alex Rodriguez in Lincoln, Nebraska? Probably not this guy, but A-Rod was in town over the weekend to support Miami.

3. A Virginia linebacker has made his prediction for the Heisman Trophy: BYU QB Taysom Hill.

LASTLY

* The Michigan student paper is turning up the heat on head coach Brady Hoke.

* A Nebraska tailgate got so out of hand that more than a dozen people were arrested and a female police officer had to go to the hospital after being hit in the head with a full can of beer.

* I don’t know if Jimbo Fisher is so emotional because he’s proud of the way Florida State battled against Clemson or if he’s just so damn happy the Nightmare Week of Jameis was over, but he got teary-eyed as he addressed the Seminoles in the locker room Saturday night:
