Central Connecticut St. gets by St. Francis, 22-17

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Nick SanGiacomo threw for 165 yards with a touchdown and ran for two more scores, including the game-winner with 11 seconds remaining, to lead Central Connecticut State to a 22-17 comeback victory against St. Francis on Saturday.

Trailing 17-16 with 2:24 left in the fourth, SanGiacomo engineered a 10-play, 75-yard drive, completing four of his five passes and capping it off with a 1-yard touchdown plunge to clinch the contest for the Blue Devils (3-9, 1-5 Northeast Conference).

Tyrell Holmes caught three passes for 71 yards and Rob Hollomon added 55 yards on the ground for Central Connecticut State.

Zach Drayer threw for 86 yards and Khairi Dickson ran for 58 yards to lead St Francis (5-6, 3-3), who managed just 173 yards of total offense and turned the ball over twice.
